It is important you read this agreement and agree to the same. The “Organization” or “Scholarship provider” refers to the Education Future International Scholarship commitee. This Agreement states the terms of use under which you may access and use the website and you may apply for the scholarship. The organization reserves the right to change or update this agreement at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes will constitute your acceptance of such changes. We encourage you to review this agreement whenever you visit this website. If you are dissatisfied with the terms, conditions, rules, policies, guidelines or practices of the website, you may contact us with the reason for your dissatisfaction.

By applying for and participating in the scholarship programme, you agree to be bound by these official terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”)

About Scholarship

The Education Future International Scholarship is a unique scholarship fund which has been created by the scholarship winners worldwide. All the like minded winners have come to a decision to fund the next batch of students with whatever they can contribute. This is a concept of giving back to the society for the cause of education with a focus on building a brighter and smarter future.

Application process:

The Education Future International Scholarship application processing and selection is done in 3 rounds as detailed below:

Education loan requirement:

Applicants should reflect that they lack means of self-funding their education abroad. Hence, the applicant should be planning to fund himself at least 50% through an education loan. The education loan has to be applied and sanctioned via our processing partner WeMakeScholars, which is an initiative supported and funded by Govt. of India under the Digital India initiative. As per the agreed terms, WeMakeScholars team will provide special support to the scholarship applicants and make sure their education loan is processed within a stipulated time frame of 10-15 days. In case you already started your education loan process in a bank/ NBFC, please mention it in the online application form of the Scholarship.

Notification of the Scholarship Recipient:

The winner/s of the Education Future International Scholarship will be notified within 14 days from the date of selection using the contact number and email address as provided in the scholarship application. After the candidate/s is notified about the selection for the scholarship, they will have to accept all the necessary terms and conditions in writing and also produce documents or information if any as required the Education Future International Scholarship committee, all within the timeline of 14 days from the day of receiving the notification email. The candidate will be declared as the final winner or recipient of the Education Future International Scholarship once the Education Future International Scholarship committee will verify the documents and subsequently confirm the candidate’s eligibility.

If the candidate fails to respond within the respective timeline requested by the Education Future International Scholarship committee under situations like the no response to emails or phone calls, then such candidate forfeits all rights to the Scholarship. The Education Future International Scholarship committee shall have no liability to the Candidate whatsoever, and the Education Future International Scholarship committee reserves the right to select an alternative Recipient for the Scholarship.

Awarding of the Scholarship:

The recipient of the Scholarship will be provided the scholarship grant letter after the submission of the final admit copy but prior to the visa interview. Within 90 days of the same, the candidate has to get back to us with the visa copy. Upon successful receipt of the visa copy, the awarded scholarship amount will be directly transferred to the recipient’s nominated bank account via Wire transfer. There is no restriction on the way the amount is utilized as long as it is spent for the studies abroad.

Taxes: The recipient of the award has to abide by the taxation laws under Govt. of India. Receipt of the award to a potential recipient is subjected to the requirements that he or she submits the required documents to the organization, to permit it to comply with all applicable state and central govt. tax reporting and withholding requirements. The award amount will be net of any taxes the organization is required by Law to withhold. All taxes imposed on awards are the sole responsibility of the recipient. The potential Recipient is responsible for ensuring that (s)he complies with all applicable tax laws and filing requirements. If the potential Recipient fails to provide such documentation or comply with such laws, the Scholarship may be forfeited, and the organization may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative potential Recipient.

General conditions regarding the Scholarship programme:

The Scholarship is as stated and is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be substituted. By participating in the Scholarship, Candidates agree that the Scholarship is awarded on an "as is" basis, and that neither the organization nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the Scholarship. In addition, Candidate agrees to cooperate fully with the organization or its designated representatives in conjunction with the reporting of receipt of the Scholarship to all appropriate governmental authorities as per applicable law.

Collection of Information and use

We collect information about you when you directly submit it as in the scholarship application, for example, your name, email-id, etc. This information might be shared with the external individuals for the purpose but not limited to, evaluating your eligibility for the scholarship. The information will also be shared with WeMakeScholars, for the purpose of facilitating the education loan application. By sharing your email-id and phone no., you allow us to send some notifications or promotions.

Right to cancel, modify or disqualify: The organization reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Scholarship programme in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Scholarship programme is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control and that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Scholarship programme. In such event, the organization shall use its reasonable efforts to make the Scholarship available in a manner that is fair, appropriate and consistent with these Terms and Conditions as determined in its sole discretion. Any Candidate who acts with regard to the Scholarship programme in a manner, which in the organization's reasonable determination is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other Candidates (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Scholarship programme, providing false or misleading information when applying for the Scholarship, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Candidates or the processing partner WeMakeScholars and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected and excluded from the Scholarship programme at the organization's sole discretion.

Publicity: By accepting the Scholarship, the Recipient accepts that their name, photographs, voice, image, video, likeness, address (city/state) may be featured in publicity materials relating to the Scholarship programme except where prohibited by law. This includes publishing the name, photograph and video of the Recipient on the website (education-future.org) for a period of upto 12 months starting on the day they are confirmed as a Recipient.

Limitation of liability and indemnity: The organization will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from the Scholarship Programme or a Recipient’s acceptance and/or use of a Scholarship, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit the organisation’s offering of the Scholarship Programme. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit the organisation's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited. All the decisions in relation to the Scholarship programme are final and binding in all respects and are not subject to appeal. The organization may/ may not enter into any correspondence with Candidates in respect of this Scholarship programme (other than those who have been selected to proceed to the final round). The organization’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions in a given instance shall not constitute a waiver of such provision. The provision of the Scholarship does not imply endorsement by the organization of any academic institution nor any other third parties concerned in any way with the Scholarship.

Social Media and Third Party Websites: This Programme is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other Social Network or Third Party Website or Application. Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other Social Network are released from any liability in conjunction with the Programme, so far as is permitted by law.

Applicable law: The Scholarship programme and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Govt. of India and will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes. Where applicable, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any such dispute must be brought individually (NOT as part of a class action), with recovery being limited to one’s actual costs in conjunction with participation in the Scholarship programme (if any) with all damages or other forms of recovery being expressly waived.
